With over 17 years’ experience in construction and development, Leo is a qualified Architect and astute property investor. Leo is a highly considered individual with experience navigating residential and commercial projects of varying sizes, previously holding a senior position at one of Australasia’s largest and most well respected Architecture practices.
Leo proudly leads by example, with a team of fifteen under him at Form Architects – one of Oakland’s trusted partners – as well as overseeing the management and daily running of the Oakland Group and our projects. Naturally creative, Leo thrives on a challenge, and enjoys all elements of design and construction and the beautiful synergy that comes from the partnership. He understands quality and beauty, with anything he puts his name to boasting utmost refinement and considered practicality.
Born in Shanghai, Leo now calls New Zealand home. A proud family man, he enjoys travelling up and down the country skiing, snowboarding, and exploring. On the weekends, you might find him out on the harbour trying his luck at fishing and freediving, in the hopes of true Kiwi kai.
Verena holds a Degree in Property and Construction from Auckland University, and leads the Oakland Group in partnership with Leo, in her diverse role covering project delivery, accounts, and marketing. Verena considers herself cool, calm, and collected under the pressure that comes with construction. She prides herself on her ability to successfully lead projects while also managing the systems and processes that come with delivering residential and commercial projects on time and on budget.
Verena is a talented QS with a multifaceted skill set that makes her an invaluable addition to the Oakland Group team. Verena has spent years building long lasting relationships with our contractors and suppliers, ensuring our projects are a roaring success for buyers and investors.
When she’s not in the office, Verena enjoys spending time at her apartment in Ponsonby, called Uno Duo, a project completed by the Oakland Group in 2017. She enjoys eating, laughing, and spending time with friends and family. Verena is a not-so-secret movie buff who also enjoys music, art, photography, and travelling.
Amber is a valued member of The Oakland Group’s Sales and Marketing team, bringing over five years of hands-on experience in residential real estate sales with one of Auckland’s leading property agencies. With a strong background in property transactions, client service, and marketing coordination, combined with advanced academic qualifications in Finance and Business, Amber offers clients a well-rounded and insightful approach to property sales.
Known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and calm, client-focused manner, Amber is passionate about helping buyers and investors make confident property decisions, and providing clear advice and dependable support throughout the process.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Amber is able to connect with a diverse range of clients and is committed to delivering exceptional service built on trust, communication, and results.
Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her young family, and staying active through outdoor activities. With her genuine passion for people and property, Amber is dedicated to helping clients achieve their home ownership and investment goals with confidence.
